Where is medical cannabis used?
Medical cannabis is mainly prescribed to treat pain. Possible cannabis therapy applications are listed below:
- Chronic pain
- Multiple sclerosis
- Neurological conditions such as epilepsy and spasticity
- Nausea and vomiting, as a result of chemotherapy and other treatments
- Severe emaciation, for example in seriously ill cancer and AIDS patients
- Cannabinoids can also alleviate anxiety disorders, ADHD or Tourette's syndrome
Further applications are currently being researched.
